Intro

ENGAGE is DFID’s engineering framework team, focusing on infrastructure works in key sectors such as water, energy, sanitation and transport. As DFID’s principal framework for commissioning consultants, ENGAGE is able to undertake a wide variety of infrastructure projects ranging from small scale and short term to extensive and complex.

ENGAGE combines the expertise of 13 specialist consulting firms including two major global consultants,
Mott MacDonald and Halcrow, and 11 other consultants with expertise in development planning, policy, infrastructure management, appropriate technology and sustainability.

ENGAGE consultants are able to support DFID staff with the planning, implementation and management of their development portfolios. With extensive experience in the countries DFID is working in, we are able to understand local conditions, priorities and DFID’s development objectives.

A particular feature is that our specialists are able to undertake assignments in difficult situations such
as post-disaster and post-conflict situations.
