ENGAGE is a substantial new resource available to the Department
for International Development (DFID) which offers a wide range of
technical expertise and can be mobilised to carry out
project-specific assignments or to supplement DFID's own abilities
at periods of surges in demand.
ENGAGE is able to assist DFID managers across a wide range of
disciplines and at all stages in the project cycle. We can
undertake assignments ranging from small scale/short term projects
to major projects extending over a long timescale.
The ENGAGE framework allows DFID managers to order works at short
notice since selection and contract procedures have already been
completed.
ENGAGE gives access to a database of some 600 pre-approved staff,
who can be called on to carry out assignments world-wide, as well
as a wider register of experts as required.
We operate under an Engineering Services Framework Agreement with
DFID, running from 2007 to 2009. ENGAGE is DFID’s principal
framework for commissioning consultants to work on infrastructure
projects. Our framework will help DFID implement projects as part
of the governments’ strategy towards achieving the Millennium
Development Goals by 2015.
